About Shack Consulting
Shack Consulting was founded to bring calm, clarity, and disciplined execution to complex work — and to help project managers learn how to lead with the same confidence and judgment.
I created the firm after more than two decades leading initiatives across for-profit organizations and national nonprofits, where success depended not on theory, but on the ability to align people, manage risk, and keep work moving forward in complex environments.
My Background
I’m a strategic, process-oriented leader with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations navigate change, improve execution, and deliver critical initiatives.
Throughout my career, I’ve been brought in to lead work that matters — initiatives with real visibility, real constraints, and real consequences if they fail. That experience has shaped how I approach both consulting and teaching: with pragmatism, structure, and a focus on what actually works.
As the founder of Shack Consulting, I set the strategic direction of the practice and remain hands-on in every engagement.
How I Work
My approach is calm, deliberate, and outcomes-focused.
I believe strong project leadership is less about rigid methodology and more about:
Clear goals and decision ownership
Practical structure that supports execution
Early and honest risk management
Consistent communication and alignment
Whether I’m leading initiatives directly or teaching others to do the same, my focus is always on clarity, accountability, and forward progress.
Why Consulting and Teaching Belong Together
A Small Practice by Design
I don’t see consulting and teaching as separate disciplines.
Everything I teach is grounded in real responsibility for outcomes. And everything I consult on benefits from the discipline of explaining, refining, and transferring knowledge.
Organizations engage me when they need experienced project leadership they can trust. Project managers learn with me because they want skills that hold up in real environments — not just frameworks or templates.
Both paths are rooted in the same belief: good project leadership creates calm, confidence, and results.
Shack Consulting is intentionally small.
That allows me to stay close to the work, build long-term relationships, and ensure that every engagement — whether consulting or education — receives senior-level attention.
As the practice grows, it will do so thoughtfully, always grounded in experience, trust, and quality.
